I'm a Management Information System major student. I just love solving IT problems and doing business at the same time. I was really lucky to be given opprtunitys to create my own career path. When I was in middle school, one of my mum's friend who owned a IT company invited me to help out in her office. I learned so much from the technician. Since that, I fell in love with IT. I even went for classes to learn some basic. I started to fix my computers and figure out new problems. Also, I was offered to work in Eberly RND for awhile and that experience was precious. I learned a lot from there and even working in the computer lab now I was being challenge by some students with computer problems. It was just so interesting to me to able to work on different scenario everytime. I'm still not a professional now but I'm just trying to learn as much as I can. Taking all the classes in IUP definitely helped me a lot with what I'm hoping for.
Besides, you might be curious why don't I pick Computer Science instead of Management Information System. Management Information System offers me two different fields, business and technology. Since I was strongly influenced by my businessman dad and this major just works perfectly for me. Anyway, I would still love to be a IT technician. Even though it can be frustrating sometimes when I couldn't fix it especially a programming error. However, when it was fixed, the feeling of it was great especially when I saw the happiness and smile on the customers. In the future, I would like to own my business. It will most probably related to IT. I still have a long way to go and hopefully my goal can be accomplished in no time.
What is your course of action in order to get there?
ReplyDeleteYou mentioned that your Dad is a businessman, how would that help?
Of course I need find myself a job to earn some money and also keep on learning about doing business and sharpen up more skills. I hope I could find a business partner eventually and start a business together. Since I am always curious about stuff and I always asked questions about my dad's business. My dad taught me about a lot of strategies and skills in handling business. He has been doing business while he was in a young age. I hope I could have my own business someday and it would be something that I am looking forward to challenge myself with in the future.
